State B & Development squads
State B & Development squad
swimmers have achieved a high level of competence in a range
of strokes over a minimum of 50 metres. They are striving to achieve State
qualifying times in a range of strokes and distances and are therefore
motivated to commit themselves to the rigorous training required at this level.

Development squads
Development squad
swimmers are still improving their stroke technique, dive starts, turns etc.
Training 3 to 4 times per week the emphasis is also on building up
strength and fitness levels.

Fitness squads
Fitness squad
swimmers train to improve technique, to develop strength for distances larger than 200 metres, to achieve personal goals within swimming.

Brian holds a silver Coaching Licence and has coached some of the
current Australian National level swimmers.
National & National Development squads
National & National Development squad
swimmers have state qualifying times over a range of strokes and distances. National and National Development swimmers aim to medal at State titles, developing racing skills, building physical and mental preparation for high level competition.
State A squad
State A squad
swimmers have or are about to achieve state
qualifying times over a range of strokes and distances. They should have good stroke
technique, a high level of fitness and the maturity and commitment to cope with a vigorous
training regime. Their aims are to swim in state finals and to achieve
